She was born in Pittsburg, Texas on January 16, 1934. Peggy was married to Ben K. Birchfield on March 24, 1961. Peggy had a career as a secretary for Texas Instruments and retired from Lennox Industries. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Carrollton and loved singing in the First Baptist Church Live Wire Choir. She also had a passion for gardening and she loved her cat, Missy.
Peggy was survived by her daughter; Melanie Loftis, grandson; Dewel Loftis and his wife Kaitlin, great grand daughter Scarlett Loftis and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday, December 11, 2019.
Funeral Service will be held at 9:30 a.m. at Dallas Ft. Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, Texas.
