Paul Charles Jordan was born on September 18, 1958 in Baltimore, Maryland to Ann and Leo Jordan. Paul, a prominent State Farm agent in Carrollton, Texas, died on January 14, 2016. Paul attended St. Paul the Apostle Grade School in Richardson, Texas. He graduated from Central Catholic High School in Bloomington, Illinois and from Illinois State University.
Paul was a loving father to his daughter Sydney Jordan and son Cale Jordan. Also surviving are his former spouse and loving friend, Peg Jordan of Carrollton, Texas, his father, Leo Jordan (Carla) of Wheaton, Illinois, and mother Ann Jordan of Bloomington, Illinois, brothers Leo John Jordan (Kimberlie) of Dallas, Texas, Michael Jordan (Patty) of Richton Park, Illinois, and sister Terri Jordan Lantz (Doug) of Bloomington, Illinois, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Paul's life was centered on several important facets: his family, his Catholic faith, his Irish heritage, and his highest regard for State Farm customers through his local insurance office in Carrollton.
Paul exemplified a longstanding love and affection for Central Catholic High School, where he was a very involved student and prominent athlete, as well as his continued hope and encouragement for the Chicago Cubs, and the Chicago Bears. Paul assisted less fortunate athletes attending football camp at Hebron High School and also sponsored sporting events at that school.
Family will receive friends on Saturday, January 30, 2016, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am immediately preceding a Catholic Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated by Paul’s uncle, Msgr. John W. Jordan, Scranton, Pennsylvania. The wake and funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 1705 E. Peters Colony Road, Carrollton, Texas.
Funeral services will be under the direction of Dignity Rhoton Funeral Home, 1511 S. Interstate 35 E, Carrollton, Texas.
Immediately following the funeral mass, a reception for family and friends will be hosted by St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Parish.
The family extends its gratitude to all who have been of comfort and assistance during his illness, especially to all of Paul’s wonderful friends, and also to the medical staff at Texas Health Presbyterian Plano Hospital, Faith Hospice, and many caregivers. A special thanks is extended to Paul's State Farm office assistant, Kathy Hill (sister of Peg Jordan), State Farm Sales Leader Cody Manis, and Rev. Augustine Kolapuram, TOR, Pastor of St. Catherine’s.
On many Saturday mornings, Paul welcomed home returning soldiers at DFW Airport. With Paul’s kind and patriotic gesture in mind, the family suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to The Wounded Warrior Project: www.woundedwarriorproject.org/Donate.
