Oleta Thompson

Oleta was called home into the arms of our lord on Thursday March 29, 2012 in Carrollton Texas with her family by her side. She was born on September 2, 1930 in Fauke Arkansas. Ms. Thompson was a retiree of the Xerox corporation, she was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi sorority for over 60 years and she was also a member of the First Baptist Church of Carrollton.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father Raleigh and Lexie Robertson of Texarkana Arkansas, her brother Aubrey Robertson of Choctaw Oklahoma, her son Keith Thompson of Yantis Texas and great granddaughter Haylee Johnson. She is survived by her sisters Mrs. Wilma Taylor of Arlington Texas, Mrs. Evelyn McFerrin of Texarkana Arkansas and brother Leo Robertson of Forney Texas. Daughter Barbara Harris and her husband Roger Harris of Carrollton Texas. Granddaughters Amanda and Jennifer Harris of Carrollton Texas, Kristen Johnson and husband Rodney Johnson of Dallas Texas and Katie Ross and husband Clayton Ross of Carrollton Texas. Great grandchildren Dylan and Tyler Johnson and Cody and Leah Hottinger, along with numerous other family and friends.

A viewing will be held on April 2, 2012 from 6:00pm until 9:00pm. Funeral services will be held on April 3, 2012 at 2:00pm with a food and drink remembrance of Ms. Thompson’s life to be held after, at 3:00pm. Both the viewing and funeral will be held at Rhoton Funeral Home in Carrollton Texas. Burial to follow in Texarkana Arkansas.
