Gordon Nichols Young died Monday (June 30th) at Baylor Hospital in Dallas,Tx Born June 5th 1951 in Duncan, OK to the late Robert Lawrence Young and the late Elizabeth Ruth Wilkinson.
His life's passion was preaching God's word and he was able to do so in Oklahoma City, OK, Baldwin, Mississippi, Huntsville, Arkansas, St. Louis, Missouri, Anderson, Indiana, Milwaukee, Wisconsin and finally making his permanent home in Carrollton, Texas and preaching his final 21 years of his in Dallas.
He was able to find another passion in being an insurance agent and did so from 2001-2014 Nick was a man who dedicated his life to helping people come to know and love God and one of his greatest accomplishments was being able to build and direct Thousand Oaks Youth Camp in Barry, Tx. He had a profound impact on adults and youth alike.
He is survived by his wife Debora Lon Young who he married September 6th 1974 in St Louis, Missouri.
He is also survived by his sister Leza Mayes, his nephew Jeremy and his wife Kimberly, his son John Young and his wife Misty, his daughter Amy Williams and her husband Deron and his 7 grandchildren Denae (11), Samantha (10), Daija (7), Rory (6), Madeline (5), D.J. (5), Desmond (3)
