Mary Ellen Taylor, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roy LovVorn, was born July 3, 1927 in Hamilton, Texas. She passed away at her residence Sunday, June 24th at the age of 84 years. Her passing follows a year of declining health.
A former resident of Dallas and of Florida, she returned to Carrollton in the early 1990's. Her interest included Yoga and Painting, particulary that of fashion design. She was also a retired employee of Apple.
Mary was a dedicated member of the First Christian Church in Carrollton and participated in the Carrollton Senior Citizens Center.
She is survived by her son Rodnall Lee Taylor of Dallas.
Visitation will be Thursday evening at Rhoton Funeral Home from 7-9 p.m. with services at 9 a.m. Friday at the First Christian Church with Pastor Harold Elias Perciful officiating. Interment will follow at Restland Memorial Park.
Pall bearers will be John Moreau, John Wyatt, Doug Chaplin, Dean Fittz, Michael Hill and Tim Rolen.
