Mary Alice Bonner

Mary was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on Feb. 15, 1953 to Lucinda Robertson and Willie Walker, Sr. She was the youngest of 7 children, baby sister “Mary Alice” of Isley Mae Mack, Gloria “Sister” Daniels, Theresa Price, Anthony Mosley, Joyce Mosley and Raymond Robertson. She was a graduate of L.B. Landry class of 1971. Mary was married to Scottie Bonner and both are survived by their daughter, Whi’Sheika.

Mary worked as a Home Health Aid for many years as she enjoyed taking care of children, elderly and sick patients. Her creative spirit was showcased through her talent for singing, cooking and decorating. She found comfort in being a loving Mother, Auntie and Grandmother.

She is survived by her daughter: Whi’Sheika Bonner Chissell, grandchildren Lemuel Chissell, Jr. and Ty Scott Chissell, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Mary was a devoted Jehovah’s Witness for over 40 years and spent her latter years pioneering, helping others to gain and strengthen their knowledge of Jehovah.
