Linda Sostecke Boatright, born on July 30, 1947 in Dallas, Tx., departed from this world on February 8, 2024 at the age of 76 at her home in Farmers Branch, Tx. She grew up in Farmers Branch and graduated from R L Turner High School in 1966.
Linda was a vibrant soul, deeply cherished by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her beloved father, Edward F. Sostecke, and her dear mother, Dorothy Dehn Sostecke.
Linda exuded a fun-loving spirit that brightened the lives of those around her and brought smiles to so many faces. She had a passion for Elvis Presley, her precious Dallas Cowboys, and cherished the moments spent with loved ones while playing Bingo, going on random shopping adventures and testing her luck at the slots(somehow she always broke even.).
Linda possessed an immense capacity for love, with a heart that overflowed with generosity. She derived great pleasure from spreading happiness to others and eagerly seized every opportunity to do so. Whether through her thoughtful gestures, words of sarcasm or heartfelt interactions, Linda's selfless nature left a lasting impact on those fortunate enough to know her.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Donna Kirkwood, and son-in-law Eddie Kirkwood of Northlake, Texas; granddaughter Lindsea Broach and her husband Duncan Broach of Little Elm, Texas; grandson Michael Kirkwood of Keller, Texas; as well as numerous friends who were touched by her warmth and kindness.
In celebrating Linda's life, let us remember her contagious laughter, her unwavering love for her family, and the joy she brought to all who knew her. Though she may have left this world, her spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those she touched.
A visitation is scheduled for Monday, February 19 from 4:00pm- 8:00pm at Rhoton Funeral Home at 1511 South Interstate 35 in Carrollton, Tx. The services will be held on Tuesday, February 20th at Rhoton Funeral Home at 10:00am with burial following at Calvary Hill Cemetery 3235 Lombardy Ln. in Dallas, Tx.
