After relocating to Texas, she attended Lewisville High School and later earned a Master’s Degree. During Leslie’s youth, she pursued her dreams of becoming a model, traveling the country as a flight attendant, and becoming a teacher all while having a traumatic brain injury. She met her husband, Daniel Doss, at the Special Olympics where they both coached basketball. Through marriage, she became a loving mother to Daniel’s son, Danny. Together they had one daughter, Sara.
Leslie loved photography, capturing beautiful sunsets and playful photos of her 2 dogs, Poe and Nugget. She enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys and Oklahoma Sooners with her family. Leslie stayed active by swimming and gardening almost every day. During her free time, she collected Snoopy memorabilia which continued to grow since the '70s.
She passed away peacefully on June 9, 2023, in the company of her husband, after years of ill health. Leslie is preceded in death by her parents. Leslie is survived by her husband, son, daughter, and siblings.
A celebration of life will be held on Monday, June 19, 2023, at 2 PM at Rhoton Funeral Home, Carrollton, Texas.
