Joyce married her husband, Wade M. Crawford on May 12, 1939. They were married for 71 years. Together they raised two sons, Donald Wayne and Teddy Mack.
The things and times she lived through are like a history book. She witnessed 18 presidents in the White House, the stock market crash of the twenties, the Great Depression, World War II, the Korean War, and even sent her youngest son to the Vietnam War.
Joyce lived the majority of her life in Carrollton, Texas. In 1955, Joyce went to work for Texas Instruments, where she retired in 1976. After retiring, she went to work for Airborne, retired there, and worked for several years at Target.
Joyce was an impressive and hard working Christian lady.
She was preceded in death be her parents; husband, Wade; son, Donald; great-granddaughter, Ava Claire, and all of her siblings.
Joyce is survived by her son, Ted; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren. Quite the legacy to leave behind.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.metrocresthilltop.com for the Crawford family.
