Joan Kay MacDonald

Joan was born in Battle Creek, Michigan on November 19, 1936, to Jack W. and Vera B. Wiley. She was raised in Bay City, Michigan until her family moved to Midland, Michigan when she was 16. She graduated from Midland High School and continued her education to receive an Associate's Degree from Delta College. Joan was married to Scott MacDonald in 1981.

Joan was a Deputy Sheriff for the Midland County Sheriffs' Dept. Upon her retirement, she moved to Carrollton, Texas where she enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Joan is preceded in death by her husband, Scott MacDonald; sister, Betsy Townsend; and sister-in-law, Margot Wiley.

Joan is survived by her children, Jack [Kathy] Harrison, and Carrie Williamson; brother, Jon Wiley; brother-in-law, Jim Townsend; grandchildren, Kristen [Dan] Bedell, Mark Harrison, Rick Harrison, Ashley [Mike] Ellerd, and Wendi White. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Katelyn Pena, Jack [Shelby] Bedell, and Chris [Erin] Bedell; numerous nieces and nephews, as well as other family and friends.

No services will be held. In lieu of flowers, you may donate to the charity of your choice in memory of Joan.
