Elsie was born March 18th, 1927 in Trenton, MI to Alexander B. McAughey and Edith E. Crowson. She lived many years in Farmers Branch, TX where she was an active member of St. Andrews Episcopal Church.
Elsie is survived by one son, Reese Cantrell (Ann); and one daughter, Mary Heist (Chuck); grandson Ryan Heist (Elizabeth); granddaughter Ashleigh Blackwell (Michael); grandson Garrett Cantrell (Jessica); and 9 great grandchildren.
Elsie was preceded in death by her mother and father as well as three brothers and one sister.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, June 17th at 10 AM at Hilltop Memorial Cemetery in Carrollton, TX.
