Charles W. Schmeltekopf, 85 years old, went to be with the Lord January 31, 2022. Charles was born in Kyle, Texas to Charlie F and Alma Schmeltekopf. They later moved to San Marcus, Texas. Charles had a brother, Ray, and sister, Dolores Arnold. After school, he joined the U. S. Shannon blessed him with a wonderful son-in-law, David Farschon, and a beautiful granddaughter, Julia. Returning home to Texas a few years later, he met and was married to Kathleen. He then added three more children to the family; Patrick, Timothy and Susan, who blessed him with two magnificent daughter-in-law’s and another wonderful son-in-law and a large group of “Grands” and “Great Grand” boys and girls. To that add some additional foster kids and you can envision a house full of kids which he and Kate loved to the max. “Chuck” worked with electronics and the electrical industry throughout his working career.
Chuck served his country with pride in the Army and was married to Kathleen for 50 glorious years. Chuck will be missed greatly by all he left behind, but whom all rejoice that he is now home with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
