It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Byron Brian Black. He entered eternal rest on April 13, 2016 in Plano, TX. He was born on November 22, 1933 in Chicago, IL to Jeremiah and Mary Black. Byron was a man of faith. He and his wife of 62 years, Clara were life long members of Mary Immaculate Catholic Church in Farmers Branch. Together they blessed their family with four children. Byron adored his family, especially his 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. They brought him much joy. He was very proud of his position as a Deputy Sheriff from 1962-1966, as well as serving his country in the United States Air Force. Byron will be remembered for loving his hamburgers! He will be greatly missed. Byron is survived by his wife, daughters, Connie with husband Billy; Pam with husband John; Sherri with husband Jeff; and son Curtis; brothers, Jeremiah & Bob and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to express their gratitude to the caregivers and Harris Hospice who cared for Byron. A Visitation will be held at Rhoton Funeral Home in Carrollton, TX on Sunday April 17, 2016 from 4:00 – 8:00 pm with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held in his honor at Mary Immaculate Catholic Church in Farmers Branch on Monday April 18, 2016 at 12:00 pm. Interment to follow at Calvary Hill Cemetery, Dallas, TX.
