Carmelita was born in Manila, Philippines on November 12, 1943, to Pedro Tayao and Labrada Tayao. She graduated from Santa Isabel Catholic School and attended the University of Santo Tomas Manila. Carmelita was married to Bobby Robinson on February 3rd,1968; they were married 56 years.
Carmelita had several businesses throughout her lifetime including, owning rental properties in the Philippines and East Texas, a furniture store, convenience store, donut shop and a home daycare before retiring. Carmelita enjoyed gardening, reading, watching martial arts movies and trying her luck to the casinos. Carmelita was an active member of the St. Catherine’s of Siena Catholic Church for over 30 years.
Carmelita is preceded in death by her parents, Pedro and Labrada Tayao, her brother Bienvenido Tayao.
Carmelita is survived by Bobby Robinson, children Liliane and Benjamin Hizon, Cecilia Kellett, Caesar Robinson, Barbara and Jason Reasonover, grandchildren Jeanne and Daniel Mui, Noelle and Jerry Filoteo, Sally Hizon and Nathan Perez, Rhett, Reagan and Ryan Reasonover, great grandchildren Kylie Manuel, Jerimiah and Mia Filoteo, Jada, Donovan and Sofia Filoteo, Cecilia, Liliane, and Nathan Perez, Ilse and Alice Mui, Siblings Teresita and George Eakins, Ollie Quiambao, and sister-in-law Corazon Tayao, and many nieces and nephews from Texas, San Diego and the Philippines.
Bobby James Robinson, 77, of Carrollton, Texas, passed away on July 16th, 2024.
Bobby was born in Minden, Louisiana on August 26th, 1946, to Bobby Allen and Thelma Nell Robinson. He graduated from R.L Turner High School and enlisted in the Air Force. He served for 13 years with an Honorable Discharge. Bobby was married to Carmelita Tayao on February 3, 1968; they were married over 56 years.
Bobby owned A1 Eagle Pro-Contractor as a residential contractor for over 10 years. Bobby and Carmelita also owned Robinson Family Properties. Bobby enjoyed hunting, fishing, and loved watching martial arts and action movies. Bobby was a Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader from 1965-1966.
Bobby is preceded in death by his wife Carmelita, his parents, Bobby and Thelma Robinson, sister Gloria Perry, nephew Larry Robinson and niece Amy Weaver.
Bobby is survived by his children, Liliane and Benjamin Hizon, Cecilia Kellett, Caesar Robinson, Barbara and Jason Reasonover, grandchildren Jeanne and Daniel Mui, Noelle and Jerry Filoteo, Sally Hizon and Nathan Perez, Rhett, Reagan and Ryan Reasonover, great grandchildren Kylie Manuel, Jerimiah and Mia Filoteo, Jada, Donovan and Sofia Filoteo, Cecilia, Liliane, and Nathan Perez, Ilse and Alice, siblings Diana Robinson Green, Ben and Ann Robinson and many nieces and nephews from Texas and Tennessee.
The Memorial Service and Celebration of Life Service Carmelita and Bobby Robinson will take place at the Rhoton Funeral Home in Carrollton, Texas at 2:00PM on August 17th, 2024. A light reception will be held immediately after the service. The family would like to thank the staff at The Sonoma House Memory Care Facility and the Kindful Health Hospice Team for the loving care they provided for Carmelita.
