Marilyn Rose David Swain Greenfield
CARMEL- Marilyn Greenfield, of Carmel, Indiana passed away on November 13, 2018. She was born June 8, 1933 in Decatur, Illinois, the daughter of Virgil and Enid David.
Marilyn graduated from Steven Decatur High School in 1951 and was an alumna of Brown Business College. Marilyn was an employee of Carmel Clay Schools for 46 years.
She is survived by step-mother Maxine David of Decatur, Illinois, her husband of 50 years Willard James Greenfield, daughter Cynthia Swain (Ronald) Robinson of Sterling Heights, Michigan; four grandchildren Ronald Robinson, II, Chad (Jodie) Robinson, Kelly Robinson (Zack) Shepherd, and Laura McDougal. She was a proud great-grandmother to seven: Aiden Spencer, Kayla Lynn, Peyton James, Danielle Rose, Sophie Ann, Lillian Mary, Beckett Ray. Her son William Randall Swain preceded her in death on April 12, 1991.
Marilyn was a wonderful storyteller, talented seamstress, skilled decorator, and was the bedrock of her family.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice or to the American Cancer Society in memory of Marilyn Greenfield 5635 W. 96th Street, Suite 100, Indianapolis, IN 46278.
Visitation will take place at Leppert Mortuary – Smith Carmel Chapel on Tuesday, November 20th from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm with a funeral service starting at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow directly after the service in Carmel Cemetery.
