51, of Noblesville, Indiana departed this life at his home on Monday, April 10, 2023. He was born July 11, 1971 in Anderson, Indiana where he grew up and attended school. David was a graduate of Ball State University and had worked as an accountant for Finney Hospitality.
David was a kind and gentle soul who was dedicated to his family and faith. He was a familiar face at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church where he was a Eucharistic Minister and active with CRHP. He had also been active with and served Rotary Club of Anderson where he made many lifetime friends and business connections.
David was a huge movie buff and loved all things Star Wars and Star Trek. At six feet – six inches tall, he made a rather ominous Darth Vader on Halloween, and was sort of a legend in his neighborhood for this with the kids. David was also a longtime model railroader hobbyist and an accomplished backyard griller and smoker. He was a smoking master of his Big Green Egg and was proud to be referred to as an “EGGhead”.
David is survived by his loving wife, Stacey Porter; his beloved daughters, Brittany Campbell & Hailey (Malley) Baker; his devoted parents, Jerry & Barbara Porter; loving siblings, Rob (Courtney) Porter & Dana Porter; Dear nieces & nephews, Aaron Porter, Ashleigh (David) Dobb, Jacob Porter, Megan Porter, Lainey Fouts and Lilly Fouts; dear in-laws, Steve & Jill Fouts; dear brother-in-law, Tony (Meg) Fouts; his favorite furry friend “Squeekers” and a host of grateful family and friends.
