Obituary of Bonnie Jo Valentine
Bonnie Jo Valentine, age 76, passed away peacefully on December 24, 2022. She was born on November 1, 1946 in Indianapolis, Indiana to LeRoy and Esther LaVerne Rang. She met the love of her life, Dr. Charles Alan Valentine, when they both worked at the Ft. Benjamin Harrison Indianapolis dental clinic. They married on June 17, 1974, and sadly he preceded her in death in 1975. Bonnie loved people. She was so proud of her son, Christopher, and his family. To know Chris, Maryclare or the kids, was to also know “Bon Bon.” She loved her grandchildren with all of her heart, and they were her pride and joy. “Charlie Boy” reminded her so much of Christopher. “Lilly Lu Lu” was her only granddaughter, and she was thrilled to be able to do girly things with her. And finally, one of her favorite things to do was listen to her grandson, “Colebert”, play the piano. Bonnie lived the last year of her life at Independence Village, where she met dear friends and had great times. Bonnie is survived by her son, Christopher Valentine, her daughter-in-law, Maryclare (Alerding) Valentine, grandchildren, Charles (18), Lillian, (15) and Cole (12). She is also survived by her brothers Dennis (Nancy) Rang, Jim Rang, and John (Karen) Rang, as well as sisters Gina Patty and Terri Rang, plus many loving nieces and one nephew. She is preceded in death by her parents and her twin brother, Bryan (Ginger) Rang. All of these people she loved and touched deeply and they loved her back. Please join us celebrating her life on Tuesday, January 3, 2022 at 12:00 noon at Christ the Savior Lutheran Church, 10500 E. 126th St. Fishers, IN 46038, with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Disabled American Veterans, as she was so thankful for how they took care of Chris during his illness in the military. (https://www.dav.org).
