Anthony Joseph “Tony” Orlando, age 87, of Carmel, Indiana passed away on Saturday, July 31, 2021. Tony was born March 10, 1934 in Rochester, New York to Frances and Frank Orlando.
After graduating from High School in Rochester, Tony played semiprofessional baseball and then served in the United States Army. He later graduated from Heidelberg University.
Tony’s professional career included working in management for over 20 years with Simon Property Group and predecessor companies. After retiring from Simon, he worked as a commercial real estate broker finishing his career at Thompson Thrift. He was a patient fisherman, a lifelong gardener and an avid golfer who was known to shoot his age or better into his eighties.
Tony is survived by his wife of 56 years, Marsha Orlando; his son Mark Orlando, Mishawaka; his daughter Amy (Randy) Paine, Cleveland; his grandchildren Andy, Molly and Charlie Paine and many nieces and nephews and dear friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday August 7, 2021 at 2:00pm at St. Luke's United Methodist Church, 100 West 86th Street Indianapolis, with a reception immediately following. The service is also being livestreamed: https://boxcast.tv/view/orlando-celebration-of-life-883324
