Ted is survived by his devoted wife of 60 years, Dorothy; daughter, Sherry (Murray) Klatt; sons, Bob (Anna) and Randy (Lynn); eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister, Helen Phenix; brother-in-law, Ron Marriott; and special nieces and nephews. His extended Brady/Morrison family was extremely important to him.
Home is where the heart is... and Carlyle, SK was home for 84 years. Ted dedicated his life to farming, business, numerous community organizations and family. He had a passion for red vehicles - the cleaner and brighter the better! He was a respected, committed Mayor of Carlyle for 22 years, President of S.U.M.A. for 2 terms and the first small-town Mayor of the Federation of Canadian Municipalities. His business interests over the years included Carlyle Transport, the McLeod's Store (Capital Hardware), Carlyle Motors, Skyline Motor Inn, Carlyle Feeders and Brady Farms. He was a true cattleman but also with a genuine love for horses, dogs and cats. He took time to listen, to share an opinion and offer endless support to individuals from all walks of life. He cared! His involvements in business and community service allowed the opportunity to travel across Canada and Internationally. The greatest love was spending time at their condo in Hawaii. Florida, Arizona, Portugal, Germany and a Caribbean Cruise were highlights. Many happy times were spent close to home and involved their cabins at Carlyle Lake and Kenosee Lake.
With the onset of dementia his life challenges became much difficult. His family and KITTY were of utmost importance. In August, Ted and Dorothy relocated to Regina. Now, Ted returns to where his spirit always has been, Carlyle.
His life's been full, he savoured much. Good friends, good times, a loved one's touch. Rest in Peace.
