Walter Thomas Dowd

Walter T Dowd, 76, of Cape Coral, FL passed away Monday, November 4, 2024. Born on December 9, 1947 in Newark, NJ, Walter spent the majority of his life dedicated to his career and family. Walter was a part of the Plumbers Local 24 Union in Newark for over 50 years. He and his surviving wife moved to beautiful Cape Coral after his retirement in 1999 where he spent his final years laughing with his grandchildren and lifelong best friend Bobby Harper with wife Suzy.

Walter is survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth Dowd, married for 54 years; son, Sean and his wife Kristin and son Scott; 8 grandchildren, Madison, Katelynn, Audrina, Trevor, and Timothy in Cape Coral as well as Connor, Matthew, and Patricia in New Jersey, and Lily, his great granddaughter also residing in New Jersey. Walter also is survived by several nieces and nephews.

Walter is preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Patricia Dowd as well as his sister Patricia Lynch.
