Timothy “Mark” Gosnell It is with great sorrow that we announce that on Monday, October 1, 2022, Timothy “Mark” Gosnell, loving friend, husband, father, and grandfather, passed away at the age of 59 due to complications from ALS.
Mark was born on September 13, 1963 in Somerset, PA to Phillip S. and Myrna F. (Burnsworth) Gosnell. He went on to graduate from Uniontown Beauty Academy and owned and operated several hair salons near his home in Confluence, PA. Mark graduated with honors from Kaiser University, in the Medical Assistant Program. His always ready smile, and outgoing personality led Mark to hold service, sales and management positions at Nemacolin, The Landings, Joint Implant Surgeons of Florida, and City Furniture. But, to Mark, his greatest accomplishment in life was being a father, grandfather, and loving husband to Roberto.
Music was a constant thread in Mark’s life. He sang in several musical groups and choirs, composed, and performed his own music, and led music worship services at several churches in his early years in Confluence.
Mark moved to Cape Coral, FL in 2010 and became active in many social groups and clubs, making lifelong friendships that he dearly cherished. Mark lived his passions fully, whether it be cooking, interior design, painting, wine tasting, or singing karaoke with his friends - especially the song, “California Dreaming”.
On November 24, 2018, he married the love of his life, Roberto Vinas, in his happiest place on earth, their “Wayward” Park. They shared a love of the beach, gardening, travel, entertaining with their friends, and two doggie daughters, Bella, and Ginger. Mark is proceeded in death by his parents and brother, Phillip C. Gosnell. He is survived by his adoring husband Roberto, his four children; Bria (Daniel) Nichols, Evan Gosnell, John Gosnell, and Markie Gosnell, all of Confluence, PA., his birth siblings, Linda Hyatt of Slippery Rock, PA, Todd Gosnell of Fort Hill, PA, David Scott Gray of Madison, GA, Elizabeth Lytle of Somerset, PA, twin brother Terry Gosnell of Seligman, MO; 4 grandchildren whom he adored and honorary sisters, Karen Lawrence and Kathleen Crenwick of Fort Myers, FL.
A celebration of life service will be held at a time yet to be determined. In lieu of flowers Mark asked that a donation be made to ALS Foundation, (https://www.als.org), or St Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, (https://www.stjude.org) in his memory.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.CoralRidgeFuneralHome.com for the Gosnell family.
