The lovely spirit of Stephanie Lynn Dobson, age 38, left the physical world from her home in Cape Coral, Florida, on Jan. 14, 2023, after a short illness. Her sudden departure has left her loving family broken-hearted but richer for having known her creative and independent nature.
With her sweet and lively personality, Stephanie spread love and laughter among her many clients, friends, and large extended family. She displayed her creativity in makeup and hairstyle artistry, and was able to bring glamor to the ordinary and youth to the aged. Stephanie’s own body was a walking canvas, displaying her talents with ever-changing hairstyles, makeup, clothing, shoes, piercings, tattoos, and jewelry - which she often made herself. She loved fashion and lived gracefully.
She was born June 22, 1984 in Waukesha, Wisconsin, to Patrick and Kathleen (LaGesse) Dobson, and moved four years later to Cape Coral. Stephanie graduated from Belz High School and studied cosmetology at Suncoast Technical Academy. She is survived by her mother and siblings, Christopher Dobson of Denver, Colorado, and Shannon and husband James Townsend of Tampa, Florida; nephews Michael and Joseph and niece Juliet Christaldi; step-siblings Patrick Dobson, Jr., Nancy (Dobson) Kost, and Stacy Dobson; eight aunts and uncles and more than 20 cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father, Patrick Dobson; grandparents Odelia (Schroer) and Francis LaGesse, and Bertha and Patrick Dobson; aunt Barbara (LaGesse) Weber, and Kerry Jean Weber, a beloved cousin.
Besides her love for fashion, Stephanie also lived for music and the visual arts. She regularly attended live music concerts and was a fan of numerous local DJ’s, including her brother. She could light up any room she entered, and draw others to the dance floor with her exuberance.
Stephanie was unique - there will never be another like her.
