Sam grew up in Chicago and the Chicagoland area where he made many friendships that lasted his whole life. After high school, Sam became a police officer but soon moved to Cape Coral, Florida and began a lasting career in the construction industry. In the beginning he worked with his father being a stone mason and in the end, he worked with his son building pools. In between, he had various jobs that took him all over the country… and the world.
It’s hard to summarize someone who lived life to the fullest. His relaxed lifestyle and nonjudgmental personality sparked countless friendships. Sam lived his life enjoying the things that made him happy. A round of golf, a great meal, a fine cocktail, reading a good book, or just spending time with friends and family. He knew that life was precious and that it should not be wasted by sweating the small things.
Sam will be dearly missed and leaves behind his loving mother Violet Tabarracci-Polotto, his son Joseph Polotto (daughter-in-law Flo Polotto) and daughter Jennifer Polotto-Burr (son-in-law Jason Burr), grandchildren Kenzi Polotto, Austin Burr, Taylor Polotto, and Zackary Burr. He also leaves behind his sisters Janice Polotto-Ryan (spouse Bill Ryan), and Christine Polotto-Wenzel (spouse Don Wenzel) along with many nieces and nephews. Sam also is survived by many beloved cousins and friends who were brothers to him throughout his life. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him and by his beloved dog … best friend and love of his life, Ella.
Sam was preceded in death by his father Salvadore “Sam” Polotto, his grandparents Anthony and Christine Polotto and grandparents Charles and Jean Tabarracci.
In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions, in the name of Sam Polotto, to the Republican campaign!
