Ronald L Royer

Ronald L. Royer, Bubba, 82, of St. James City, FL and formerly Slatington, PA died peacefully on Friday, November 10th at Hospice House of Cape Coral. He was the son of the late Thomas and Pauline (Mertz) Royer. He was the husband of the late Norma (Meckes) Royer to whom he was married to for 61 years on June 22, 2023.

Ronald served his country in the Navy before beginning his career at Eichler’s Wood Shop where he learned his outstanding love for woodworking. This would eventually lead him to his hobby of woodcarving, a talent much admired. Ron went to work at Mack Trucks from where he would eventually retire in 1991. Ron, along with his wife, Norma, also ran a family farm where he instilled the values of hard work and determination in their three children. Ron’s hobbies included fishing, hunting, and woodcarving. He was a lifelong member of St. John’s U.C.C. Church in Laury’s Station, PA.

Survivors: Ron is survived by his three children, Ryan L. Husband of Sherry W., Schnecksville, PA; Chad L. Husband of Heather L., Slatington, PA; Rae, Partner of Garett J. Wootton, North Palm Beach, FL; 5 grandchildren.

Services: Services will be held at the convenience of the family and there are no calling hours at this time.
