Rita E. Connelly, 84 of Cape Coral, FL passed away on Wednesday, January 11, 2012. She was born on September 4, 1927 in Allentown, PA to William and Catherine Ryan Walsh. She moved to Cape Coral in 1976 coming from Valley Station, NY. She was a member of St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church.
Mrs. Connelly is survived by her loving family including her children, Eugene J. Connelly, III of Thailand, Catherine Taylor of New York, Therese Ruse of Cape Coral; grandchildren, Trina (Brian) Heaney and Casey Ruse; great grandchildren, Jesse Bua and Brian Heaney, Jr. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene J. Connelly and son, Stephen Connelly.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 pm on Tuesday at Coral Ridge Funeral Home, 1630 Pine Island Rd., Cape Coral, FL 33991. The Funeral Service will be at 11 am on Wednesday at the funeral home with the Reverend John Deary, officiating. Burial will follow at Coral Ridge Cemetery
