Richard “Dick” Losch, 84, of Cape Coral, FL passed away on Friday, March 30, 2012. He was born on March 12, 1928 in Evanston, IL to Henry and Catharine Losch. Richard was a Veteran of World War II and the Korean War serving as a Sergeant First Class with the U.S. Army 7th Infantry Division. He retired after 20 years, as a Police Officer from the Elk Grove Police Department. Richard moved to Cape Coral in 1981. He was a past Commander and Chaplain for V.F.W. Post 8463, Cape Coral. He was an avid winemaker. He was a member of the Kiwanis Club, Fraternal Order of Police Elk Grove Lodge #35. Richard was a member of the Diplomat Wesleyan Church, Cape Coral.
He is survived by his loving family including his wife of 63 years, Ingeborg Losch; six children, Karin (Rev. William) Lindenmeyer, Michael (Marge) Losch, Steven Losch, Daniel (Therese) Losch, Paul Losch, David Losch; 15 grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his brother, Robert.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday at Coral Ridge Funeral Home, 1630 SW Pine island Rd., Cape Coral. Funeral Services will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
