Richard James Berry

Richard was born in Queens, New York on October 11, 1940 and grew up in Great Neck, New York.

He served in the United States Army from 1962 to 1965. He moved to Cape Coral in 1973 and owned his own carpet installation business for 40 years.

Richard is survived by his wife and best friend of 52 years, Christine Berry, his son Richard Berry, Jr., daughter-in-law Roxana, granddaughter Jacquelyn, and grandson Matthew; his daughter Erinn Orlandella, granddaughter Tyler, and grandson Rocco. Best known as “Grandpa Florida” and “Papa” by his grandchildren who loved him very much.

Preceded in death by his mother Elizabeth Filby, father James Berry, and brother John Berry.

A mass will be held on November 4th at 1:00 pm at St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church.
