Phyllis Anne Sherbondy Richard

47 years, passed away Saturday, Feb. 13, 2010, at her home in Cape

Coral after a dignified battle with cancer. Born in Concordia, KS June

3, 1945, she was the daughter of Eldon Sherbondy (deceased) and Doris

(John) Petrick.

She graduated from Miltonvale High School, Miltonvale, KS in 1962,

received her Registered Nurse licensure from Prairie State College,

Chicago Heights, Ill., in 1979, and her B.S. in Nursing from University

of St. Francis, Joliet, IL in 1991. Her nursing career spanned more

than 30 years, serving at the University of Chicago Medical Center,

Mount Sinai Hospital Medical Center, Chicago, and four years at Lee

Memorial Health System Health Park. She retired in 2008.

Besides her husband, she is survived by two sisters, Shirley (Laurence)

McGrath of Chicago Heights, IL., and Debra (Raymond) Rodriguez of Cape

Coral; three sons, Keith Richard, of Jefferson City, Mo., James (Amber)

Richard of Cape Coral, and Timothy Richard of Cape Coral; five

daughters, Kimberly (Federico) Lopez of Channahon, Ill., Kristin

(Raymond Jr.) Cook of St. John, Ind., Andrea (Lee) Vehe of Channahon,

Ill., Natalie (Dale) Wright of Elgin, Ill., and Valerie (David) Barich

of Frankfort, Ill.; 26 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and

many loving nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Wednesday Feb. 17, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Coral Ridge Funeral Home, 1630 SW Pine Island Road, Cape Coral, and Holy Rosary prayer will

be at 7:30 p.m.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, Feb. 18, at 10:30 a.m., at

Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church, 12175 Stringfellow
