Francis Pauline Jacobsen, 86 of Cape Coral, passed away Monday, July 28, 2014. She was born Oct. 2, 1927, in Pleasant Hope, Mo., to William Lloyd Hall and Nomah Malinda Stokes Hall. She was a graduate of Pleasant Hope High School and Draughans Business College. She was employed for over 17 years at Southwestern Bell Telephone Company in Springfield, Mo. She married Glenn E. Jacobsen Dec. 8, 1962. They moved to Fort Myers in 1968 and then in 1969 moved to Cape Coral. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cape Coral. She is survived by her sister, Wandah Morris of Springfield, Mo.; her church family; and many friends, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Mark Douglas Jacobsen, June 11, 1981; her husband, Glenn Jacobsen, Aug. 11, 1981; and her brother, Merrill Eugene Tharp. The funeral will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 2, with the Rev. Jim Holbrook, officiating at Coral Ridge Funeral Home, 1630 S.W. Pine Island Road, Cape Coral, with visitation starting at 1 p.m. Graveside services will follow at Coral Ridge Cemetery with Pastor Dr. Jim Wigton officiating.
