Patricia J. Garzione (Patsy) was born May 10,1936 in Catskill, NY. She was the oldest of four children of Howard Edwards and Margaret Stroh Edwards. She is survived by two sisters, Virginia DeCarlo and Evelyn Fulton, and five nieces and three nephews all from New York. Patsy lived in the North Fort Myers area for over five decades.
She was married to Joseph Garzione on August 25, 1961 and remained his loving wife until his death February 14, 2011.
Patsy met Joe at a dance hall in NY and would recall how he approached her and asked her to dance. They danced through life together from that night forward. Joe was the love of her life. She worked with him as an electrician assistant for many years before they retired. She would tell stories of digging ditches or climbing into attics to pull electrical wire for Joe.
Patsy and Joe were baptized as Jehovah's Witnesses in 1963 after a thorough Bible study. They both remained loyal to their faith all their lives. Patsy's greatest joy was spending time in her ministry work talking to people about the Bible and encouraging Bible study. It is notable that Patsy never had a driver's license. She was able to participate in her ministry work and attend meetings and conventions of Jehovah's Witnesses because of the loyal support of her local congregation in providing her transportation and whatever other assistance she needed.
After Joe, her attention was lavished on her three cats. Anyone who knew her knew, Patsy had three cats that she adored. She carried pictures of her cats in her purse and shared with anyone who showed interest.
A Memorial Service for Patsy will be held on Sunday, August 13th at 4 pm in the Orange Grove Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in North Fort Myers.
The service will be available to be watched on Zoom.
