Monica Giardina

Monica Giardina (Duerr), 73 of Cape Coral, FL passed away on May 10, 2021. Monica was born in Stuttgart, Germany on January 13, 1948 and moved to Florida in 1981. Monica graduated from Garfied Heights High and received a Cosmetology License from Sun State Academy. She married Raymond Anthony Giardina on September 5, 1970. Monica worked in cosmetology and owned Nu-Image Hair Salon and Applause Hair Salon and worked at Cape Coral Hospital. She was a member of The Matrix Company and had a passion for hair, beauty, traveling, most importantly family, dogs and all things Elvis.

Monica is survived by her daughters, Renee Giardina (Chad) Bishop of San Diego, CA.; Annette Giardina (Michael) Haber of Cape Coral; grandchildren, Anderson Reed Bishop and Anna Monroe Haber.

Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11:30am on Monday, May 17th at St. Andrew Catholic Church. The Rite of Committal will be at 12:00 noon on May 29, 2021 at Coral Ridge Cemetery.
