Michael J. Pusateri, 92, of Cape Coral peacefully passed away Friday, October 26th, 2018. He was born November 25, 1925 in Forest Park, Illinois. Michael was a Marine Corps veteran having served in the Pacific Area including being at Iwo Jima. When he returned home he married Loretta Papa in 1947. he worked as a butcher for Phaelzer Brothers in Chicago for many years and later as a member of the supervisory staff for Armour Meats in Wisconsin and Minnesota retiring in 1991. Michael loved spending time with his family, he enjoyed sports, he could be found daily out on the golf course prior to becoming ill and in his free time he watched various sports games on TV, especially his beloved Chicago teams. He was preceded in death by his parents Salvatore ad Sophia Pusateri, his brother Leo, his sisters Josephine Cuomo and Lena Boensch, son Michael, daughter Diane Liston and loving wife of 67 years Loretta (Papa). He was a devoted and loving father and is survived by daughter Kathy (the late Anthony) Cardamone, sons Salvatore (Mandy) and Joseph (Joan) Pusateri. brother Salvatore ) JoAnn) Pusateri, eleven grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren,and one great, great grandchild. Uncle to several nieces and nephews, and godfather to many. A private memorial mass will be held November 24, 2018 in Paducah, Kentucy with internment of ashes to be at a later date at Coral Ridge Cemetery in Cape Coral, Florida.
