Mary Desmond Gray; born February 23, 1954 lived in peace until August 2, 2023 and lived in love until the age of 69. Born in Shreveport, Louisiana to father Michael Desmond and mother Almer Jeanette Green; she lived as a devoted wife and passionate mother in Cape Coral, Florida. She passed peacefully at home in her own bed and comfortably wrapped in her favorite napping blanket with her two spoiled bulldog girls curled up nearby.
She was a woman who not only lived for her family, but for the chance to help anyone she could any time without a second thought. Proudly blessing the world with her children; Her son Marc, who has not only dropped everything on the other side of the world if he got one phone call to come be by her side and support the family, he continues to this day to push on teaching to not pass up on a chance to help those in need especially family. Her daughter, Christine, who she was always able to rely on with her incredibly strong family and motherly instincts grew closer together the last years and very much look forward to their days together and could rest easy knowing she would wake up to a comfortable safe home.
Both Marc and Christine have children of their own whom constantly made Mary’s heart smile by simply calling her MiMi.
Youngest son, Chad, always keeping her on the edge with his daily routine, as well as his random visits with his dogs. Sometimes all three of them at once, his food drop offs, so they rarely had to cook, and those random times when she would bring him some whiskey, the two of them would just sit on the couch and talk about life.
Now reunited with her child Charlie so, her husband Charley Gray and amongst other family members, she can hold their hands and look down as well and know everything will be different, but going to be OK with the love they passed on and the lessons they have taught.
Something Mary always said to anybody she had to say goodbye to ..
It’s never goodbye it’s “I’ll see you later “.
