Mary Louise (Materna) Edwards of Ft. Myers, went to be with the Lord on July 9, 2024 at Opal House. A loving wife to Joseph N. Edwards of 59 years and a mother of 7 surviving children: Janice Gallagher (Greg); Richard Edwards (Eileen); Linda Shook (Donald); Mary Rushing (Keith); Kathy Kreighoff; Nancy Davis, and Bill Edwards (Marilynn). Thirteen grandchildren include Jonathan Edwards, Gabrielle Ferro, Ben Edwards, Joseph Edwards, Jeff Shook, David Shook, Sarah Palascak, Emily Kreighoff, Elise Krieghoff, Ross Krieghoff, Kyle Davis, James Davis, and Sarah Edwards. Thirteen great-grandchildren are Cailie Edwards, Ava Edwards, William Ferro, Andrew Ferro, Isabelle Ferro, Finley Edwards, Sophia Shook, Luca Shook, Bianca Shook, August Shook, Lily Davis, Dean Davis, and Mackenzie Davis. Mary is survived by one sister, Evie Lisowski.
A small private service will be held at the Coral Ridge Funeral Home & Cemetery in Cape Coral on July 15, 2024. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to CBN (Christian Broadcasting Network), McGregor Baptist Church, or Joyce Meyer Ministry.
