Marlene Shawley

Marlene was born in Greensburg, PA in 1952 to Mike and Josephine Kucenic. After the untimely passing of her father, Marlene stepped in at a young age to help her mother raise her three beloved siblings. As a young adult, she earned her Associates Degree in Fashion Merchandising, which served her well over the years as she held various jobs as a retail associate at multiple stores in the Southwest Florida area. Later in life, Marlene developed a passion for gardening as evidenced by her thriving collection of succulents.

Few things brought Marlene more joy than witnessing her kids succeed whether it be on the soccer field or in their personal lives. Known for her unwavering dedication to her family and keen attention to detail, Marlene will be profoundly missed by all who knew her.

Marlene is survived by her devoted spouse of 48 years, Dean Shawley, her children, Jason Shawley and Deena Harrington, her son-in-law Rob Harrington, her sisters, Denise DeFelice and Tami Wincko, and her brother, Michael Kucenic.
