My beautiful Grandma,

Easter was just not the same without you.  I imagine no holiday will ever be the same without you.  It made me happy to come and sit and talk to you on Good Friday.  So much of my life and the person I am I owe to you.  You are my inspiration and the kind of person I try to be everyday.  I love you so much and miss you more than words can convey.  You are my Guardian Angel in Heaven and I know you are watching over me everyday.

Marilyn, Dick, and Lenny,  Where do I start as to how much your Mom meant to me and my family.  I was probably 14 when she and your dad opened their home to us for vacations.  Not only did she spoil us with her cooking, but took personal responsibility to see that I met friends, got in a good school, and was happy with a move to Florida. My Great Grandma was my biggest hero. Ever since I was a little girl I looked up to her. Not a day goes by that I don't think about all the differnt stories she used to tell me. I will always remeber all the differnt things she taught me,how to bake or cook,like making donuts or how i used to complain about how nasty I thought it would smell when she would steem cabbage.When she moved in with my grandparents I used to spend a lot of time there. We didn't always see eye to eye but she would always give me the best advice about my future and life. She didn't just do things for her family or friends but to anyone who needed help or guidance, anyone and everyone was welcome. I love and miss you so much Grandma, i'm so happ my baby sister Alexis got to meet such an amzing person like you.

I am so blessed to have had a Grandma like you. I cherish so many wonderful memories. One fond memory is how you would always pinch my cheeks to "make them rosy". My Great Grandma was one of the best, and I love and miss her very much. She did a lot for me and taught me many things that I will use later in life. When she came to live with my grandparents ,where I would spend most of my time,we spent a lot of time talking with each other talking about life and school and my future. Not a day goes by that i don't think about all the wonderful things she did not only for me and our family but for others. She was an amzing cook. I'll never forget the visits to her house making donuts or complaing about how nasty her house would smell when she would steam cabbage. I reamember all those times after my grandma and I would take her to doctors appointments she would always try and sneak a few dollars to my grandma and tell her" Get the little girl some McDonalds" or always having some wine and Gingerale at dinner. Even though everyone says she lived a long life being 103 I wish she could have lived forever, you will be missed by us all, and i'm so happy my baby sister Alexis was able to meet such a wonderful lady like her. I love you grandma, you will never be forgoten <3  "Mi manchi"

My grandmother was an extraordinary woman.  She was an inspiration to us all through her example of how to live a life full of faith, graciousness, and love. Her unshakable faith even in the face of tremendous tragedies in her life is a lesson we all can learn from.  Her graciousness and kindness to all of us throughout her long life, but most of all her abiding love for all of us is a source of comfort and strength we can carry with us during our lives.  To my parents, my family, my aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and all who I love, may you all find comfort in your memories of her.  May God bless you.  Love, Bertie

To Marilyn, Kenny and All of the Galante Family,
My prayers are with you all at this sad time of grief, the loss of Marie.She was a great mother, grandmother, great grandmother to many.
Living her blessed life of 103 years is just a wonderful honor. Consider yourselves very lucky to have had her for a beautiful long of a life. I have know her from the later fifties, and I remember her from her working days at A&P, walking to and from the bus stops. She was great with us kids at her home with her hospitality, in our high school days. She was a beautiful lady. God Bless her and my she Rest in Peace. She is with all the Angels in Heaven! You all had a "Glorious Life" with her. I'm glad that i was able to visit with her almost 5 years ago, and she even remembered me! I know you she will be missed.
All my love and prayers go out to you all. Marilyn, God Bless you, for the care that you provided for her also! I'm glad that I provided the same care for my mother. That was very special time that I spent with her,
like you did. We share that together.
