Kelly Rae Scanlon-Mazon

Born on Feb. 1, 1982, in Olean, she was the daughter of Raymond and Joyce Stritof Scanlon. On Sept. 5, 2009, at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, Olean, she married Daniel Mazon, who survives.

Kelly was a graduate of Portville Central School, Class of 2000; and St. Bonaventure University. She had been a resident of Florida since 2004 and was employed as a teacher's assistant at Franklin Park Elementary School. Kelly also ran a side business, "Cakes by Kelly Rae."

She loved her dogs, Seagram and Shania.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is survived by two brothers, Matt (Leah) Scanlon of Crownsville, Md., and Brian (Jenelle) Scanlon of Olean; her paternal grandmother, Frieda June Scanlon of Olean; her maternal grandparents, Bob and Helen Stritof of Olean; two nieces, Mia Scanlon and Lilly Mazon; five nephews, Jack Scanlon, Lucas Scanlon, Kaiden Scanlon, Trenton "T-Bone" Scanlon and Ryan Mazon; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 pm at Coral Ridge Funeral Home, 1630 Pine Island Road, Cape Coral

Memorials may be made to the SPCA.

Family will receive friends from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Guenther Funeral Home Inc., 1303 E. State St., Olean. Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday (Sept. 6, 2014) at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church with the Rev. Kim Rossi officiating. Burial will be at Allegany Cemetery, Allegany, N.Y.
