Joseph S. Rossi, 65, died 14 May, 2018 in his home in Cape Coral, FL of complications from diabetes. Mr. Rossi was born June 27th, 1952 in New York, NY to Sebastian and Marion Rossi. Of their 3 children he was their only son. After school he moved to New Jersey where he served as an officer with the Medford Lakes police department. He also followed his love of music by becoming a disc jockey and soon developed a fitting reputation in the industry. In 1986 he married his wife, Dana. They moved to Atco, NJ where they raised three children, Joseph Sebastian, Daniel Joseph “DJ” and Jessica Marie. Joe worked as a regional sales representative for Goldwell Inc. for many years and was very active in the community. He coached football and baseball for several years and became President of the Atco Lions Football and Cheerleading Association. In 2004 he moved his family to Cape Coral, FL. Joe had a love for his family and sports like no other. He was a lifelong NY Yankees and Giants fan and enjoyed fishing, bowling, music concerts, family trips, and trips to the casino. He loved spending time with friends, family, and especially his four Grandchildren, Seth, Ian, Gia, and Jameson. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife, Dana and children Joseph and wife Brandy, DJ, and wife Sarah, Jessica and fiancé Alec and 4 grandchildren, Seth, Ian, Gia, and Jameson; two sisters Camille Sica and Cathrine Rossi , step mother Mauricette Rossi, sister and brother in law Linda and Mark Fiore and many nieces and nephews.
His celebration of life memorial service will be held this Wednesday, 16 May 2018 at Coral Ridge Funeral Home 1630 SW Pine Island Rd Cape Coral, FL from 5pm to 7pm, with the service beginning at 6pm.
