Joseph P. Marino, Sr finished his tour of duty on this earth on December 2, 2016. He was 93 years old. A veteran of WWII and Korea, He served as a Navy Medical Corpsman with US Marines in both wars to include the "Chosen Reservoir". He retired from the Edison New Jersey Police Department as a Captain in 1985 after 32 years then moved to Cape Coral, Florida.Joe was preceded in death by his first wife Lorraine (Pfoertner) Marino after 51 years of marriage. They had 5 Children Barbara Rothlein (Jules), Joseph Marino Jr.(Susan), Lorrie Petras (Bob), Thomas Marino (Lynn) and Jo-Ann Atkinson (Gary), 14 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.In 1999 Joe married Eva (Skibinski) Marino. He is also survived by 5 step children.Throughout his life Joe was active in the New Jersey Police Honor Legion, to include serving as its President; the Knights of Columbus, Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Marine Corps League and the Toys for Tots Foundation & The Chosen Few. He was a member of Saint Francis Xavier Catholic Church of Fort Myers.
