John Peter Lavery

John Peter Lavery “Pete”, 70 of Cape Coral, FL passed away on February 10, 2012. He was born on November 10, 1941 in Youngstown, Ohio to John Peter Lavery and Stephina Jean Glass Lavery. Pete was a graduate of Cardinal Mooney High School class of ’59 and Youngstown State University class of ’69. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps serving from 1959 to 1963. Pete was a recruiter for the Kirby Company for over 30 years. He most recently worked as a Privacy Officer at Tarpon point Marina in Cape Coral. Pete enjoyed golf, Notre Dame football, the beach and his pets.

He is survived by his loving family including his wife of 16 years, Denise L. Lavery of Cape Coral; sisters, Marcia Burns of los Alamitos, California, Jane Miller of Springfield, Virginia; brother, Jim Lavery; nephews, Robert Kolich, Matt Kolich and Phil Miller; niece, Tonia Burleigh. Pete was preceded in death by his parents. He will be greatly missed by his friends and family.
