John Huber Jr., 76, of Cape Coral, Florida passed away in the early hours of Saturday, February 27, 2021, after a long battle with cancer. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Barbara and John Huber Sr. He is survived by Maria, his wife of 54 years, his son Stephen, his son Marc and his wife Marisa and their two son's Jacob and Dylan, his daughter Melissa and sister's Barbara and Susi, as well as many brother and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and friends.
John was born in 1944, in Franzfeld, Yugoslavia. He emigrated with his family from Austria to the United States in 1950. He enlisted in the US Army in 1961 and became a Medic serving in South Korea and Germany. After serving his country, John returned home and in 1964, he married his sweetheart Maria and began raising a family, residing in Washington Township, New Jersey for 29 years before retiring to Cape Coral, Florida.
In his spare time, he enjoyed spending time with his family and carpentry which he eventually turned into a second career. He was also an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, hunting, and camping. One of John's life-long hobbies was model trains which he eventually turned into a third career customizing engines, passenger cars, and cabooses and selling them on his eBay store.
John will always be remembered as a devoted, caring, and loving person to his family and friends.
