Dear Family & Friends, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather Jerry Kehoe passed away peacefully at the age of 83 on June 10, 2018 at his home in Ft. Myers, FL. He was surrounded by his loving family and friends. Jerry was born December 24, 1934 in Mineola, NY and raised in Port Washington, NY. He married Patricia in 1957. They moved to Centereach, NY and started their family. Jerry was a Plumber/contractor. In 1977 he moved his family to Caper Coral, FL. and continued his career with Franzese Plumbing until he retired in 1990. Jerry was a great Dad and was very active in his kids’ lives. He enjoyed yearly family trips and summers spent at his lake house in Blairsville, GA. He was a frequent visitor of the Lucayan Resort & Casino in the Bahamas, where he was known as Mr. K. He also enjoyed traveling throughout Europe with his wife. Jerry was very well known, liked and respected by countless friends. His kindness as well as his sense humor was a gift to all who knew him. He loved his large family and being called “Poppy” by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Patricia; 3 daughters, Kelly (Gary), Nancy (Lloyd), Penny (Tim); 7 grandchildren, Jennifer (Bill), Christopher, Ashley (Chase), Tricia (Justin), Brock, Dallas, Grace, as well as 6 great-grandchildren, Ramsey, Abby, Emma, Cayden, Ava, Celyn. Jerry was preceded in death by his father Andrew, mother Mary, sisters Ginny and Mary, God-child Lisa and great-grand daughter Caleigh.
Visitation will be from 5 - 8pm on Friday, June 22nd at Coral Ridge Funeral Home, 1630 SW Pine Island Rd., Cape Coral. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am on Saturday, June 23rd at St. John XXIII Catholic Church, 13060 Palomino Ln., Ft. Myers, with the Rite of Committal and internment to follow at Coral Ridge Cemetery. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in his memory to St. John XXIII Catholic Church.
