Jeanne M. Esposito, 91, of Oldsmar, FL passed away on March 7, 2024. She was born the youngest of five siblings in Bridgeport, Connecticut to Aqualino and Emily Cenami, and spent her youth and young adult life in Connecticut, before moving to New York, and then finally to Florida in 1979, where she enjoyed one beautiful day after another ever since.
Jeanne graduated from Warren Harding High School, and went on to graduate from the University of Bridgeport as part of the inaugural graduating class of their then newly formed Dental Hygienist program. She enjoyed many years in that field, but her true love and avocation was that of professional ballroom dance instructor, which she spent alongside the greatest love of her life, her late husband Frank R. Esposito. Her love of dancing was second only to her love of her entire family, which includes her son Darren Esposito and daughter in law Kristin, daughter Danielle Johnson and son in law Len, her adult grandchildren Connor Esposito and Laney Esposito, her husband and dance partner later in life, the late Salvatore Sica, and many loving nieces, nephews, and grand nieces and nephews.
To know her was to love her.
“I Love You More” was her favorite phrase. She delighted in showering others with her generous spirit, whether it was through her gift of gab, teaching friends and family how to make her famous meatball recipe or giving everyone she loved her handmade ‘sock snowmen.’ Jeanne loved bringing people together and found her most blissful times teaching many students how to Ballroom and Country Line dance. Thousands of Cape Coral Residents came through the doors of the Tony Rotino and Lake Kennedy Senior Centers as students, but always left as part of her family. Beaming with pride and the biggest smile she would embrace each student’s uniqueness and truly get to know them.
Jeanne had the ability to connect with you immediately. She made you feel loved. She really did “Love You More.”
Her passion for others was often found through her Italian heritage cooking and baking. Making holiday cookies and always gifting them away was both a tradition and a lesson in giving. That passion and love was passed on to her children. In fact, many experienced her warmth and embracing personality as she walked the dining rooms of her daughter and son-in-law’s dessert restaurants in Orlando and Key West. She was proudly known there as “Momma Jeanne.”
Most will remember her beautiful smile and the way she made you feel…loved more.
We will continue to honor Jeanne’s spirit by being ‘Wonderful, Wonderful’ to others. Mom, “Chances Are” you are reuniting on the dance floor right now. We know it was your time to ‘Boot Scootin’ Boogie’ into eternal life where we ‘hope you dance’ forever.
A memorial service will be held at 1pm on Saturday, April 6th at Coral Ridge Funeral Home & Cemetery at the Mausoleum 3 section of the cemetery. The address for the cemetery is 950 Chiquita Boulevard S. Cape Coral, Fl 33991. A celebration of Jeanne’s life will be held immediately following the service on Saturday, April 6th.
