James was born on November 7, 1946, the son of John E. Turnbull and Marion L. Turnbull. He was a second-generation steel worker who worked in multiple mills in Northeastern Ohio. He loved his work and his fast cars!
James is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Kathy Hankey Turnbull, his two sons, Jim (Kim) Turnbull of Cape Coral, FL and Jeff (Beth) Turnbull of Henderson, NV, two grandsons; Tyler and Jake Turnbull, his brother Jack (Bev) Turnbull, sister- in- law, Barbara Hankey Cox, brother-in- law, Robert (Barbara) Hankey, sister- in- law, Teresa Hankey and countless nieces and nephews that meant the world to him.
He was preceded in death by his sister: Joan Turnbull Cefalde, brother- in- laws; Bill and Tom Hankey and sister-in-law Geneva Hankey Peck.
James was loved by many and will be missed by everyone who knew him. To all that worked with him over the years, please know that you were always in his thoughts and he loved reminiscing about those times.
James’ final wishes were to be scattered over Guilford Lake in Salem, Ohio. This will take place later in 2021. The family will send notice of date and time when the memorial is scheduled.
