I'm absolutely devastated that I'm not able to be there and absolutely devastated that our family has to deal with the loss of a man who was SO loved by every one of us.  
It just seems wrong. 

I will always remember how much you loved us all. I still always laugh about how you showed me new made up games when I was a kid and you said don’t forget your pennies. You kept us entertained.  You where one of the greatest Uncle a girl can ask for. May you be flying high with the angels. We all love you Uncle Jimmy.

Oh, that smile of yours, Jim...you would light up the whole room! We'll always cherish the memories of the great fun we had on all our cruises together. 
We will be watching for sunbeams in the sky--that's how we'll know you're smiling up there in heaven.

Jimmy was my brother. Not in law and we all said that often. After 50 years of memories flying around my head these past few unbelievable days I’ve come to realize the ‘highlights reel’ is almost endless. I cannot count how many times I find myself laughing as I think of the things we’ve done.  A million memories. And I know  I’m only one of a large group who feel that way -cherishing those great memories. Right now hanging on to them tightly, wishing we could change these past few days.  If only we could make it so... 

 I can only look upwards and say Thank you Jim for the wonderful memories- And to say thank you God for having all our lives be better for having you in them.  
 

Though we have never met, I have the honor of being friends with Shannon n Stacey.  Your legacy shines through Shannon.  Thank you for being a wonderful and caring person who raised a loving woman who loves unconditionally. God rest your soul💝

I first met Jimmy in 1995 on labor day at his home on Long Island along with Margaret. My now wife wanted them to give her the high sign that I was acceptable. They were more than hospitable and although I didn't know at the time how much I would grow to love them. I'm proud to have known Jimmy, he turned out to be the nicest, most generous  man I've ever met or have ever known. I really never thought I would be saying goodbye to him. My heart is heavy knowing I'll never hear his laughter or his words of deep thought and fairness . It was obvious how much he loved all of his family and his friends. He help me so many times and never once asked for anything back. You were my mentor Jimmy. I will miss you  buddy! Thank you for all you have done for my family and I. Anyway to get back to 1995''s labor day, while the women were shadow dancing, Jimmy asked me what my intentions were to his  kid sister-in-law.  I thought that was the most loving thing a man has ever asked me. Thank you for accepting me Jimmy! I know God has you at his table. Goodbye dearJim.....

Jimmy's faith in God was so strong. When my dad was on his death bed Jimmy bent down to kiss him and then he pulled his cross out that was tucked under his shirt and put it to my dad's lips so he can  and kiss it.  The last memory I will keep with me was just the other day we were all sitting around reminiscing about my parents which we have done many times, but this past time Jimmy started to cry thinking about them. I loved Jimmy with all my heart.

Praying that you will find comfort in knowing that  we are lifting each of you up during this difficult time.
