George Westenbarger Jr.

March 5, 1954 - August 30, 2021

George E. Westenbarger, Jr. was born i n Detroit, MI on March

5, 1954 to Helen and George E. Westenbarger, Sr. He graduated from Dondero High School i n Royal Oak, MI. He owned Westen Roofing in Troy, MI. He moved to Florida i n 1993 where he did real estate as “Captain George” showing property from the water. George was adventurous and loved to travel,

even making his way around the US in a camper and on his Harley. More recently he had been working on his farm in North Fort Myers, FL. He had many hobbies and enjoyed collecting

military equipment, boating, animals, guns and motorcycles. His energy and positive outlook on

life will be missed dearly by everyone who knew him.

George is survived by his two children, Nicholas G. Westenbarger and wife Teri, and Kathleen

A. Boscarino and husband Ollie, grandchildren Aubree, Jackson, Hunter, and Emilie, and his

former wife Kimberly A. Westenbarger. He i s also survived by his partner Leigh A. Hassano, her

children Jennifer L. Hassano and husband David Timpe, Anthony Hassano, Steven Hassano

and wife Brittany and granddaughters Raelyn and Jaylee.

Funeral and burial will be held at White Chapel Memorial Park Cemetery in Troy, MI on

September 11th at 1:00pm.

Celebration of life service will be held on October 23, 2021 at 1pm at Vineyard Community Church; 923 SE 47th Terrace; Cape Coral, FL 33904.
