Born in Council Grove, Kansas on June 10, 1941 passed away on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family. Son of the late Norris and Mary Louise Redding Burke. Beloved husband of Jane Burke. Devoted father of Travis (Charity) Burke of Houston, TX, Brian (Shari) Burke of Houston, TX, and Corey (Maria) Burke of Corpus Christie, TX. Brother of Sharon Nichols. Grandfather of April Marie, Kelly, Justin, and Glenn Burke. Brother in law of Jim and Tom Goodwin. He was pre deceased by one Granddaughter Elena Burke.
Gary served in the United States Air Force from 1964 – 1968. He retired after 31 years with the U.S Department of Fish and Wildlife.
Friends may call at CORAL RIDGE FUNERAL HOME, 950 Chiquita Blvd. S, Cape Coral, FL on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 from 10 am until Services at 11 AM. Interment with Military Honors will be held at Sarasota National Cemetery at 2 PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Gary’s name may be made to St. Jude Hospital.
