Gabriel Armando Alvarez, 96, of Cape Coral Florida, passed away Wednesday May 22, 2019. Born on March 24, 1923 in Jaguey Grande, Cuba, Gabriel was a Sergeant in Cuba’s army under President Batista and owned a grocery store before emigrating to the United States with his family, Clara Luz Ojeda (deceased) and his two daughters, Elena and Eva.
He is survived by his daughters Elena Alvarez Amyett and her husband Alan Amyett, Eva Alvarez Vigneault and her husband Robert David Vigneault and his grand-daughter Chloe Marie Vigneault.
A visitation will be held Friday, May 24th at Coral Ridge Funeral Home & Cemetery, 1630 SW Pine Island Rd, Cape Coral, FL 33991 between the hours of 9 - 10:30am.
The Funeral Mass will be at 11am at St Katherine Drexel Parish, 1922 SW 20th Ave, Cape Coral, FL 33991 with burial will follow after the mass at Coral Ridge Funeral Home & Cemetery - 1630 SW Pine Island Rd, Cape Coral, FL 33991.
