Nana, I'll always remember my 11th grade vacation we spent together. I came to see you, to get away from my teen years for a month. You were so hospitable to me. You showed me how to make a great sandwich. We talked about the old days.  Grampa and I watched the Braves at night. It was so peaceful. We went to the pool in the daytime. I needed that vacation more than anything and you were there for me. You were always there for me. Someone you could depend on no matter what time of day or night. Thank you for being such a perfect role model to this family. We all love you and will miss you greatly, but will never forget your unconditional love.

My sweet Nana,

Our family has been blessed by your enduring love and we will continue to be inspired by the gentle nature of your heart which you have demonstrated every single day of your 94 years. 

My childhood memories are centered around the moments when you shared your tender, compassionate and generous affection. 

I am grateful for many things, but what comes to my mind and heart was the support you and Grampy gave me when we moved. It felt devastating at my age, and you both were a trusted source of joy and happiness that could always be relied on.

I am inspired by the dedication you gave to your family, as a wife, mother, friend, sister, grandmother, neighbor...

Here are some things that I will take with me in my heart always that are precious gifts from our decades together:

You are an exceptional woman of God who prayed a lot but praised Jesus even more. I can still hear you saying, “You’ve gotta thank the Lord, every day, for your husband.” I promise I will. 

You reliantly leaned on the love of our Lord daily. You faithfully kept Him near to your heart, where he remains as the centerpiece of your soul, and the central strength of the sacred union between you and your dear Leonard.

Your eternal love for Grampy, (and his for you) set a healthy example of the type of marriage that Jesus intends for us all, that He designed as an example of His grace. Your relationship has been a blessing to our entire family and to our future generations as well. 

There will never be a spirit quite like yours, but I see an echo of it already in my child. No matter how you aged over the years, you possessed a child-like joy that was infectious to all that were around you. I’ll never forget the singing and dancing and the silly times that brightened our days and made us all chuckle when we needed it. 

For all of us, you were everything we ever needed and more. I thank God for you and our generous time together.

Dear Mom,
I will miss kissing your soft cheeks, feeling your soft wavy hair, and looking at your beautiful hazel eyes. I feel blessed to have the same color eyes as you, Mom.
I’ll always cherish your caring heart and loving ways. You would make me laugh and smile when I was feeling lonely, and uncomfortable in the hospital as a young child.  Your sweetness always brightened my day!
Our family and extended family always had fun times together . The memorable gatherings at the beaches, family reunions, family Christmases, Rocky Point pool, Goddard Park,  and the last 32 years in Florida enjoying a different and beautiful life style . 
You taught me the love of God, strong faith, courage ,perseverance,  tradition and modeled a loving marriage with our wonderful dad! 
Our home was always cozy and warm, and others felt the same when visiting. I will miss our talks, the fun we had when you were playing the piano, your love for dancing and singing and enjoying our swims in the warm waters of the gulf and pool. 
Our wonderful family dinners on Sunday after church were so special. I loved the smell of the roast cooking. We would get changed, and go outside to play and then you would call us in for dinner. Our loving nana would be there helping too.I can visualize you both in the kitchen. I’m so happy you are with your mother now. Give her a kiss for me.
One of my fondest memories is you holding Emily for the first time. You made me a loving momma, and showed me the joys of motherhood.🥰
Thank you for your unconditional love, Mom.  Your bright light in heaven now shines as a beautiful star. And, thanks for the rainbow on Friday for me,  Beth, Cindy and Lenny. It was the most beautiful rainbow I’ve ever seen!! We know you are safe and at peace in the glory and grace of our Lord Jesus. I know you will watch over our family. 
I love you so much mom! There’s no goodbye. We will one day be together again.
I hold dear everything you gave to me in my life. 🙏❤️🌷😘
