I started Florida Cycle & Chopper in the early 1970s.  Not too long after that I met Eddie. He bought a chopper from me, which was the first Harley that I owned. After that, almost every time I built a bike for myself he would buy it. Eventually, our families all knew each other and at one time Eddie and I, his sons and my sons all worked together.
We went to bike week in Daytona many times together, weekend rides to Fort Lauderdale and many rides to Naples. We rode side-by-side at 60+ miles an hour with our handle grips 1 to 2 inches apart.
Next is a story I never heard of anyone ever doing. Eddie bought a Springer front-end in Fort Lauderdale and put it on himself. I told him it was missing a top triple tree and was not safe. He shrugged it off and rode it anyway. One night, about 10 of us were riding back from Naples, we took the Bonita Beach Road running 100+ miles an hour, slowed down for the turn and crossed the small bridge which is near the water tower. Eddie was in front and I was behind him. All of us started to accelerate, we got to around 60 miles an hour and there were a lot of sparks under Eddie’s 750 Honda. After about 50 yards, the bike came to a stop with Eddie sitting up and his hands on the handlebars.  The front end had broken off and the only thing holding it on were the cables.  
This incident never slowed him down. How we survived this long, I will never know because a lot of our friends are long gone. Eddie liked to ride fast, liked pretty motorcycles and liked pretty women. Since we both were on the same page, our friendship lasted for 45 years.

ET loved his friends, his hometown of Martin, and the MHS Purple Flash. He so enjoyed watching the UK Wildcats basketball games together with his friends when he visited---such fun we had---
wonderful memories.  Condolences to all.

Met my brother Eddie in 1971 he gave me my first job when I was 15 yrs old that was over 50 yrs ago next to my wife Jean he was my closest friend many fun times and too many memories to mention I always knew he had my back I could always count on him no matter the situation was I miss him already Love you brother I will never forget the influence you had on my life good and bad I always looked up to you RIP my brother God now truly has his hands full

He was a dear friend, will be missed.   Enjoyed talking about cars and bikes with him.    He sure enjoyed both.

    Eddie and I grew up in the "OLD CAPE"..We shared many friends..Hobby's such as Motor Cycling...We rode many miles together many years ago..When "Uncle Sam" called me and kept me for over 20 years,we never lost touch..I always considered him a true friend and I will miss you my brother.......Borg
